History: America's Greatest Hits
I was listening to History: America's Greatest Hits this morning, and I couldn't help but wonder what the hell they were thinking whe they put "Muskrat Love" on it. Have they no shame?

My rambling ruminations as I drink the second bottle of wine. Don't expect too much. Hell, I don't even know why I do it. In vino veritas!

I have America’s Greatest Hits on 8-track, cassette and CD. I used to listen to it all the time and would fast-forward (in the old days) or skip (in the new days) Muskrat Love. I couldn’t hit the button fast enough. Then, one day, I decided the only way to conquer my demons was to confront them head on, so I listened to the damn song. You know what? It’s really a sweet song in a very sucky sort of way. I no longer fear it.
Also, I love all the Al Stewart stuff. *Enchantingly Beautiful and Mysterious Lady in Black*: Very nicely put.
My mother hates that Muskrat song. I've never heard it, fetus that I am, but I don't have any reason to doubt her... It's a song with the word *muskrat* in the title.
BTW, who the blank is Al Stewart? That dude that looks like a cross between Steven Keaton from "Family Ties" one of the Smothers Brothers and Mr. Rogers? (Just my interpretation of his current look.)
Jen!
What will you look like at 60? Go over photographs of Al in his early years...he was quite the dreamboat!

You act as if I insulted the man's appearance. I did no such thing. I think he looks better now than he did with that mullet cut he had back in the day. As for older male 'dreamboats', I'd like to have some Muskrat Love with Joe Perry. Mmmm mmmm.
And, if I am fortunate enough to live to be 60, I think I'll look a lot better than most. Maybe that's egomaniacal, but I believe as much. I know I'm not crazy enough to be ugly, eccentric enough to be beautiful, or vain enough to have surgery. Nature, have your way with me.
I don't know Al Stewart, but if you really want to go see the best concert ever, go see Dave Matthews Band Sept. 5 in the Woodlands. You'll be a fan for life!! They put on an AWESOME, just ask Jen T. If you don't like it, maybe you'll like the people smoking the cheeba sitting next to you, hah.
Fav--
Dave Matthews might be the best thing since sliced bread, but the Woodlands sure as heck ain't. At least not in my book. Too much traffic and too big to get close enough to really enjoy the show.
but if he/they play at Antones or the Mucky Duck or something, I'm there.
Not me. I'm not 21 yet, so I can't get into those places even if I wanted to. The joys of being 9 months away from 21.
